The Past, Present and Future of Alpine Biomes Worldwide (PPF-Alpine) aims to take a deep dive into the biogeographical history of alpine systems on a global scale and decipher the drivers of present-day alpine biodiversity.

Holocene Diversity Trends

HoloceneDiversityTrends aims to identify macroecological patterns that have shaped global plant biodiversity. Understanding past ecological dynamics is essential for accurately predicting future trends, especially in light of the current biodiversity crisis. This project aims to help clarifying the drivers of plant biodiversity over time, which is key to estimating the impact of human activities on the environment.

FOSSILPOL

The goal of the FOSSILPOL project is to process multiple fossil pollen records to create a comprehensive, standardised dataset compilation, ready for multi-record and multi-proxy analyses at various spatial and temporal scales.

Planetary Boundaries Working Group

Planetary Boundaries and Safe Operating Spaces is a working group within Past Global Changes - PAGES, aiming to link palaeoecology with planetary boundaries to define variability and changes over decades to millennia.

HOPE

Humans on Planet Earth - Long-term impacts on biosphere dynamics (HOPE) is a 5.5-year European Research Council Advanced Grant project running from 1 January 2018 to the end of 2023. It addresses a critical question in Earth system science - what was the impact of prehistoric people on the biosphere and its dynamics?
